Carmen Young joined the Savannah Chapter in 2007 after having been a member of the Red Cross in Honolulu.

Carmen has been active in numerous disaster responses in both Hawaii and Georgia and also deployed to Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Ike. She has done an outstanding job as the function lead for Disaster Health Services.

In addition, under Carmen’s direction and leadership, the Chapter held its first Caring Conference in 2009, which brought National recognition to our chapter. And just recently she was chosen to be on the Planning Committee for the Health Services Leadership Initiative which will be held in Washington, DC in June.
