Al Lucas, a retired Coast Guard Chief Petty Officer, has displayed exceptional leadership, phenomenal service to clients and is also an outstanding Disaster Services instructor.

Al deployed to Hurricane Katrina, picking up DSHR Manager Credentials along the way. He then rose through the ranks of the Disaster Action Team to become Captain of the Effingham County DAT.

As Team Leader of the newly established Rapid Deployment Team, Al found himself deployed to South Georgia five times in five weeks and he has recently accepted the position of Coordinator for all Disaster Action Teams in the Savannah Chapter.
