The Red Cross is a symbol of hope throughout the world. As part of this humanitarian organization, the American Red Cross of Savannah provides relief to victims of single family emergencies and community, national and international disasters. Its mission is to help people prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies.

Your contributions help the chapter to provide food, clothing, shelter and counseling for victims of over 1,000 disaster incidents each year. Disaster responders work around the clock every day of the week helping those victims in their hours of greatest need.  

The Savannah Chapter American Red Cross also offers opportunities for members of the community to learn First Aid, CPR and other health and safety skills that will keep them safe in times of emergencies. It provides emergency communications for military families trying to reach their loved ones and offers assistance to those trying to locate family members at the time of international disasters.
